While the hardware specification for this netbook is pretty standard, the Toshiba NB205 does come with a few extra features that make it stands out from other netbooks:
- The 160GB hard drive is protected from sudden drops by a 3D accelerometer
- The display is LED-backlit, which is nominally greener than CCFL-backlit screens, and helps the system last longer on a charge
- Sleep-and-charge USB ports which allow users to charge their USB devices attached to the netbook even if its turned off
Although it might be a little late for Toshiba to enter the US netbook market now, looks like the company has managed to produce a great quality netbook that are comparable, even better than other popular netbook brands such as Asus, Acer, and Samsung.
